FAG (Germany) is part of the Schaeffler Group Corporation. The founder is engineer Friedrich Fischer, who in 1883 developed and patented equipment for grinding balls. This allowed him to launch the production of a large number of absolutely round balls made of hardened steel. The trademark FAG (Fischers Aktien-Gesellschaft), was registered in 1905 in Berlin.
