The Linden company (Sweden) was founded in 1932. Philip Linden started making pastry brushes in his garage. Rumors soon spread about the quality and craftsmanship of Linden's brushes. He started making other items, and his products soon became known for their simple elegance but ease of use. The company currently owns and operates 3 separate manufacturing plants in Sweden, a distribution facility in the USA and maintains product representative offices in 23 countries.
