Konica Minolta (Japan) was founded in 1873. It is a Japanese holding company, a world leader in the production of such goods as laser printers, photocopiers, fax machines, photographic equipment for medicine, as well as optical and measuring devices for laboratories, medical centers and industrial enterprises. The holding has several divisions outside Japan: In Canada, the USA, and the UK. In January 2006, Konica Minolta decided to stop producing cameras due to unprofitability and sold the production, after which it focused on the production of optical, graphic, electronic, measuring laboratory and medical equipment.

Konica Minolta produces desktop and portable spectrophotometers, color, brightness, illumination, chlorophyll, gloss, appearance meters, color readers, spectroradiometers, graphics solutions, light cabinets, software.
