AJCOPE

The company A J Cope (UK) was founded in 1849 and first produced pharmaceutical dispensers. A. J. Cope, the grandfather of the current owners, apprenticed to Tucker in 1870, and together they produced medical and laboratory tableware. In 1890 they formed a partnership called Cope & Tucker. In 1920, the Cope family took control of the business and he named it A J Cope & Son. The company continued to develop, but during the Second World War, the entire production facility was destroyed. Production was resumed within a few weeks. Since then, the company's activities have expanded through the sale of laboratory equipment, tableware and chemicals in the UK and abroad. Today, A J Cope is one of the leading independent suppliers of laboratory products in the UK and is able to meet the needs of any modern laboratory.
